Different Ways to Craft Pizza!

Neapolitan Pizza
This is a pizza that is made with mozzarella cheese and tomatoes. The tomatoes used are known as Marzano tomatoes and the mozzarella cheese is made from the milk of the water buffalo. The crust is made from strong wheat flour which is high in protein. The dough is hand kneaded and formed with a rolling pin. The resulting crust is soft, tender, fragrant and elastic.

Chicago Style Pizza
This pizza is also known as deep dish pizza. It is baked in a deep pan. This results in its characteristic high edges. The high edges provide the opportunity for loading up on sauces and cheese, resulting in a stuffed pizza.

New York Style Pizza
This pizza features a large thin crust. The crust is prepared by hand tossing the dough. It is baked to produce a thick and crisp edge, while the center remains soft and thin making it easy to fold your slice when you eat it. This pizza often features toppings that include shredded mozzarella cheese and tomato sauce.

Sicilian Pizza
This is pizza that is prepared using a method that originated in Sicily, Italy. The name is synonymous with thick crust pizza as traditional Sicilian pizza was rectangular and featured a thick crust. The dough can be over an inch thick. The modern Sicilian pizza features a generous amount of cheese.

Greek Pizza
This pizza is baked in a shallow pan that has been oiled with olive oil. The crust is usually puffy and chewy but not thick. It is also oily as a result of the use of olive oil on the pan.

California Pizza
This pizza combines the thin crust of New York style pizza and the toppings of California cooking styles.
